Exam Instructions

VINO Olympiad is conducted through an offline examination mode at participating schools. All students and schools are required to follow these instructions carefully to ensure a fair, disciplined, and smooth examination process.

1. General Instructions

1. Students must appear for the examination at the venue arranged by their participating school.

2. Students should report to the examination room before the scheduled commencement of the examination.

3. Students must bring the required stationery and other permitted materials as instructed by the school.

4. Students must follow all instructions given by the examination coordinator or invigilator.

5. Students must maintain silence and discipline throughout the examination.

6. Students are not permitted to communicate with other students during the examination.

7. Any form of unfair means or malpractice is strictly prohibited.

8. Students must not carry or use unauthorized study material or electronic devices during the examination.

9. Students must write their details correctly on the answer sheet.

10. Students should read all questions carefully before answering.

2. Answer Sheet Instructions

• Use the writing instrument specified by the examination coordinator.

• Fill in all required details clearly and correctly.

• Mark answers carefully in the appropriate manner.

• Do not make unnecessary marks on the answer sheet.

• Do not fold, tear, or damage the answer sheet.

• Submit the answer sheet to the invigilator before leaving the examination room.

3. Examination Discipline

Students must maintain proper discipline throughout the examination.

The invigilator has the authority to take appropriate action in case of any violation of examination rules or use of unfair means.

4. Unfair Means and Malpractice

The following activities are strictly prohibited:

• Copying or attempting to copy

• Communicating with another student

• Using unauthorized notes or study material

• Using unauthorized electronic devices

• Receiving unauthorized assistance

• Any other activity that provides an unfair advantage

A student's examination may be cancelled if the student is found using unfair means or engaging in malpractice.

5. Tie-Breaking Rules

If two or more students obtain the same marks, the following tie-breaking procedure will be applied successively at the School, Zonal, State, and National levels:

1. Higher-Value Questions: The student with more correct answers in higher-mark/value questions will be ranked higher.

2. Fewer Incorrect Answers: If the tie continues, the student with fewer incorrect answers will be ranked higher.

3. Examination Completion Time: If the tie still continues, the student who completed the examination in less time will be ranked higher.

4. Same Rank: If all applicable tie-breaking criteria remain identical, all such students will be awarded the same rank.

The tie-breaking procedure will be applied successively until the tie is resolved.

6. Responsibilities of Participating Schools

The participating school is responsible for:

• Conducting the examination according to the instructions provided by VINO Olympiad.

• Arranging a suitable examination room.

• Appointing an examination coordinator/invigilator.

• Maintaining proper discipline during the examination.

• Distributing and collecting examination materials securely.

• Ensuring that answer sheets are properly collected and submitted as instructed.

• Ensuring that students follow all examination rules and instructions.

7. Important Note

Students and participating schools must carefully follow all official instructions issued by VINO Olympiad before and during the examination.

Any additional examination instructions, if applicable, will be communicated to the participating schools.
